When a homeowner on Rutledge Street asked me why our quote was $400 higher than the competition, I didn't blame them for asking.


After all, when you're comparing quotes for crawl space work, a $400 difference jumps out at you.


But here's the thing - sometimes what's not in the quote tells you more than what is.


I took a look at the other companies' quotes.


They all included the basics: sump pumps, vapor barrier, the usual stuff.


But there was one critical thing missing from every single one of them: grading.

Only then could we start the real work: grading the entire crawl space so water naturally flows toward our interconnected sump pump system.


We're not just throwing pumps in random spots - we're creating channels, slopes, and paths for water to follow.


Then, and only then, does the vapor barrier go down over a properly prepared surface.

Now, about that $400 difference.


When you break it down, here's what you're really paying for:
